Bio: Martin Vorgod

Martin Vorgod is Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Global Risk Management and joined the company in March 2022. In his capacity as CCO he is overseeing global derivatives sales and trading. Martin has a background in the financial industry, where he has been with Danske Bank in Copenhagen and New York for more than 14 years. He has historically been involved in selling and trading derivatives across many asset classes like foreign exchange, commodities and fixed income instruments, globally. Martin holds a MSc degree in economics and finance from the Business School of Aarhus / Aarhus University.

Bio: Arne Lohmann Rasmussen

Arne Lohmann Rasmussen is Chief Analyst and Head of Research at Global Risk Management and covers a wide range of energy products like oil, oil products, natural gas, power, coal, and emission.

Arne has 23 years of experience in the research department at Danske Bank – a leading Nordic retail and investment bank. Arne has covered a wide range of products and areas like FX, rates, fixed income, commodities, and macro and has advised both institutional and corporate clients across Europe and the US.

He has an in-depth knowledge of ESG seen from a financial market perspective and holds a Certificate in ESG Investing from CFA UK.

He has held various managerial positions during his carrier, holds a Master of Economics degree from the University of South Denmark, and is regularly quoted in local and international media.

S&P: A closer look at the product market outlook 2024

Bio: Rasool Baurouni

Rasool Barouni is the Associate Director, Near-Term Analytics with S&P Commodity Insights based in London. He currently focuses on refining economics, pricing & trade flow globally.

As a downstream oil & gas analyst and consultant, Rasool has many years of experience gained in working with trader-refiners, refinery and petrochemical companies, and energy economics departments. He has delivered consultancy projects, workshops, and presentations in more than 46 countries.

Rasool holds an MBA, a Master in Biochemical Engineering, and a BSc in Chemical Engineering. He is a chartered engineer and a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) in the UK.

Regulations update and Fuel EU Maritime Focus

Bio: Maria Skipper

Maria Skipper Schwenn recently joined Bunker Holding as Director of Environmental Regulatory and Public Affairs. Her primary tasks include securing Bunker Holding staying ahead of the curve in the transition to a low-carbon maritime industry. Before joining Bunker Holding Maria worked as Executive Director, Climate, Environment and Security at Danish Shipping for 13 years. She has been deeply involved in shaping the EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime regulations, served as advisor to the Danish IMO delegation and was a member of ICS Marine Committee and ECSA Safety and Environment Committee. In her current position, Maria has joined the Future Fuels Working Group of IBIA.

Maria holds a master’s degree in Political Science from University of Southern Denmark as well as a master’s degree in European Politics and Administration from the College of Europe, Belgium.

Connecting the future of marine energy

Bio: Jesper Sørensen

Jesper Sørensen is KPI OceanConnect’s Global Head of Alternative Fuels & Carbon Markets. He is overall responsible for implementing the green strategy and creating the green offerings of KPI OceanConnect.

Jesper has more than 24 years of experience in the bunker industry. He started his career in Denmark before moving to Singapore learning the trade of the biggest port in the world. In 2005 he joined KPI OceanConnect in London rising through the ranks to become a Team Leader. With Asia booming, he returned to Singapore in 2009 to help grow KPI OceanConnect’s Singapore presence. Back in Singapore he has held a variety of positions from Team Leader, Sales Manager and Managing Director before moving into his current role.

As a market leader within the marine fuel industry, we recognize our responsibility in making shipping more sustainable. Jesper has a major role in ensuring that KPI OceanConnect stays at the forefront of the Green transition and help shape the future of Marine Energy.
