Arne has 23 years of experience in the research department at Danske Bank – a leading Nordic retail and investment bank. Arne has covered a wide range of products and areas like FX, rates, fixed income, commodities, and macro and has advised both institutional and corporate clients across Europe and the US.

He has an in-depth knowledge of ESG seen from a financial market perspective and holds a Certificate in ESG Investing from CFA UK.

He has held various managerial positions during his carrier, holds a Master of Economics degree from the University of South Denmark, and is regularly quoted in local and international media.

Biofuels as a viable low-carbon solution to decarbonize

Bio: Manja Ostertag

Manja Ostertag has more than 13 years of experience in biofuels. She has joined the biofuels industry in 2010 when the road transport sector first started using biofuels. She has been developing new markets and customers by providing a variety of low carbon fuel solutions in line with the regulatory requirements. Since 2019 she has been developing sales also to the maritime industry. Her team closed one of the first biofuel sales to a marine customer to run its vessel on 100% biodiesel.

Manja has worked in several sales and trading related positions within BP and Chevron Renewable Energy Group, before she joined Bunker Holding, in April 2023.

As Head of Biofuels Manja is responsible for all biofuels related matters and the implementation of relevant biofuel solutions in the groups product portfolio, in order to drive the green energy transition in the shipping industry.

Andre Hauschildt worked for Total Energies for more than 20 years in multiple jobs, always linked to the supply chain with focus on the maritime & inland water operations.

The last 3 years were in the bunker department, setting up and further developing the LNG Bunker operations.

In June 2023, he joined Bunker Holding to further develop gaseous new fuels, namely LNG and Ammonia.

Kristian Korsgaard Pedersen has been working for 25 years in the bunkering industry in various roles. Since 2014 he has been employed in the Bunker Holding Group and currently working in Bunker One, Denmark.

He has been working in various commercial roles, but since early 2020 he has dedicated most of his time on the green energy transition in the shipping industry.

He has an extensive knowledge on the various upcoming EU regulations, low-carbon fuels, voluntary carbon offerings and then he has been following the IMO’s GHG agenda closely. All this, in order to connect the dots between the new fuel producers and the shipping industry that is Bunker One’s market place. In short – maintaining Bunker One’s position as the preferred bunkering partner throughout the green transition.

Bio: Jesper Sørensen

Jesper Sørensen is KPI OceanConnect’s Global Head of Alternative Fuels & Carbon Markets. He is overall responsible for implementing the green strategy and creating the green offerings of KPI OceanConnect.

Jesper has more than 24 years of experience in the bunker industry. He started his career in Denmark before moving to Singapore learning the trade of the biggest port in the world. In 2005 he joined KPI OceanConnect in London rising through the ranks to become a Team Leader. With Asia booming, he returned to Singapore in 2009 to help grow KPI OceanConnect’s Singapore presence. Back in Singapore he has held a variety of positions from Team Leader, Sales Manager and Managing Director before moving into his current role.
